You don’t need to access CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information) to need to meet CMMC 1 requirements. FCI (Federal Conract Information) is also covered in DoD requirements.
What is FCI and how do I know if I have it?
FCI means information not intended for public release that the government provides under contract to deliver a product or service to the government. Basically if you have a DoD contract you have FCI.
There are 17 practiices in CMMC 1 that meet the goal of “cyber hygiene” which we will address in a later blog.
Let me know if you want a demonstration of the Jumpstart for CMMC1/FCI service.
